Happy Holidays to all our friends in Durban, South Africa, and all of Africa. It's crazy that it's been over a year now since we left, and we're still trying to find ways to get back. We miss all of you and can't wait until our paths cross again!

Here are the latest composite images from the imagination series. I'm still shooting a few pieces for these and working on the final look but I like the direction they're heading.
Mouse over the line art to reveal the in-progress image. I'm working on a series that I've just started putting together for the first images for, about the imagination of a child. There are already a few changes I have planned, and this entire series will evolve as I shoot more of it and the story comes together.
Here's a look at a brainstorming session the other night at SOSU (Southern Supply Creative Labs) for an Africaid project bringing college level education to female students in Tanzania through special projects and scholarships. The creative session was focused on how to spread the word and find more donors for the project. You can find more info about the KISA project here: http://africaid.com/kisaproject. The impact a few dollars can make in a student's future is pretty incredible, and hopefully the ideas from this night will help to better get the word out and make a big difference in the growth of this educational initiative. Durango, ColoradoHere is a tiny sample of images from two recent trips to Durango shooting a wide variety of venues from in town to in the surrounding wilderness. A warrior added to the Feather Hair series. Where does she fit into the story? More characters on the way... Model: L I V @ http://www.modelmayhem.com/virtigo
Today I'm editing one video piece from last weekend at a poetry event in Denver: "100,000,000 Dead Poets for Spare Change;" and a video of my own, about running and more specifically about one runner. This is a still from one of the running locations in the foothills west of Denver. This video follows Lauren from her first days running - something she swore she'd never do - to her first half-marathon, mere weeks after the start of training. The race is a trail race in Fort Collins that's not only her first race but a strenuous course and what she discovers has at least one section called the "F-you hill." There's a little more to shoot for this, but the majority is done. I'm working on adding a lot of information to the short with text overlays and I'm excited for the final piece.
Back to the blog. This one was more of an event than a photo shoot, but the views from high on Colorado's 14,000+ foot peaks (fourteeners) are always amazing. This was for the Kite Lake Triple, a trail running race that summits Mt. Democrat, Mt. Cameron, Mt. Lincoln, and (almost) Mt. Bross, which is technically "privately owned." I had fun running and taking photos, but if you want a more in depth post about it you can find it on Lauren's blog here. The course elevation profile and map, the closest town is Alma, CO, which is 16 miles from Breckenridge.
